Job summary

Boston University is seeking an Assistant Director of First-Year Student Success to support undergraduate transition and success. Reporting to the Director of Student Success in the Provost's Office, the role partners with campus colleagues to deliver orientation, seminars, and proactive coaching.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree with 3+ years in higher education, strong communication and collaboration skills, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Some remote work is possible.

Qualifications

• Advanced advising experience in higher education settings.
• Experience coordinating orientation and student success programs.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Commitment to DEI and working with diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic advising and 1:1 coaching to undergraduates.
• Support new student orientation and success seminars.
• Collaborate with campus advisors and central units to connect students with resources.
• Develop inclusive programming to foster belonging and resilience.
