Job summary

Entergy Arkansas is seeking a Helper - Apprentice 3rd Year to construct, build and maintain overhead transmission lines ranging from 69KV to 500KV. The role requires climbing poles, operating specialized equipment, and routine on-call duties, with a 60-minute commuting requirement.

The position demands a high school diploma, completion of an accredited lineworker program or equivalent, and pre-employment fitness testing. CDL Class A is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires physical ability to perform tasks in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to work irregular hours and travel as required.
• Demonstrates good communication and the ability to follow directives with limited supervision.
• Ability to lead other linemen and work safely following Entergy policies.

Responsibilities

• Construct, build and maintain overhead transmission lines (69KV-500KV).
• Operate Entergy equipment including aerial bucket, cranes, digger derrick trucks.
• Read job prints and sketches; recognize materials and their function.
• Climb poles and set up work as needed; respond to after-hours emergencies.
• Perform switching and EPZ grounding; participate in on-call rotation.
