Job summary

University of Central Arkansas is seeking a Student Worker to support the First Year Experience and the Student Orientation Staff (SOS). This onsite role involves assisting with events, coordinating sessions, and providing customer service to students and families.

The position requires 20 hours per week, with duties including event planning, social media management, and collaboration with SOS leadership during Welcome Week and SOAR sessions.

Responsibilities

• Work 20 hours a week in the FYE office
• Serve as a team member for FYE: attend team meetings; plan events; manage social media; provide customer services to students and families in-person, over phone, and email.
• Assist in recruiting, selecting, training, and supporting the SOS and the leadership team; attend trainings and retreats; coordinate meals during Welcome Week.
• Assist in planning and implementation of SOAR sessions; prepare supplies and materials; oversee Bear Fair; assist in registration management.
• Assist in planning Welcome Week events; oversee Conway Daze and Move-In Day volunteer registration; attend Welcome Week events.
