Job summary

University of Central Arkansas seeks a Student Worker in the First Year Experience department to support SOS and related programs. This onsite role in Conway, AR involves 20 hours per week in the FYE office and direct student/family engagement.

You will assist in recruiting, training, and supporting the SOS leadership team, participate in Welcome Week, SOAR sessions, and Bear Fair, and help coordinate meals and materials as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work 20 hours a week in the FYE office
• Attend team meetings; independently plan events; manage social media; provide customer services to students and families in-person, over the phone, and via email
• Assist in recruitment, selection, training, and support of SOS and the leadership team; attend trainings and retreats; coordinate meals during Welcome Week
• Assist in planning and implementation of SOAR sessions and registration; oversee Bear Fair; assist in registration management
• Assist in planning and implementation of Welcome Week; oversee Conway Daze and Move-In Day volunteer registration; attend Welcome Week events
• Support Parent & Family Programs as needed
• Perform related duties as required
