Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Value Stream Team Leader for its St. Marys, OH facility on first shift. You will lead one or more plant value streams, drive Parker Lean and Win Strategy, and oversee daily activities to meet performance goals.

You will develop standardized work, coach teams, promote safety and 5S, and collaborate across shifts to improve flow, quality, and customer service. A Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years’ management or supervisory experience.
• Sufficient background in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, human resource management and inventory control.
• Demonstrated teamwork and teambuilding skills. Ability to assess and develop individual and team skills and capabilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the plant value stream(s) in daily operations and continuous improvements, including supply chain, production control, and manufacturing priorities.
• Coordinate between all shifts to create continuous product flow, use pull systems and level workload.
• Ensure standardized work and processes are followed; implement needed adjustments and maintain safety and 5S compliance.
• Foster a positive team atmosphere; hold regular meetings and assign tasks; coordinate with other departments.
• Provide cross-training and backups to maintain smooth operation of value streams and empower the team to fix problems.
• Work with leadership to develop future state value stream maps and maintain Team Improvement Boards.
