Job summary

Haworth is seeking a Team Leader for 1st shift (4X10) in Holland, MI. The role leads a distribution/production team, ensures safety and quality, and drives on-time delivery while coaching staff and managing daily labor plans.

Responsibilities include scheduling, coaching, problem-solving, and continuous improvement activities within the wood plant. The position requires a high school diploma and PIT certification eligibility, with opportunities for overtime and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of experience in a team-based manufacturing environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain PIT certification.
• Must have right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Leads team to meet safety, quality, schedule, cost, culture, and env goals through coaching and training.
• Manage daily work schedules and labor deployment to meet production plans.
• Serve as communication conduit between leadership and line employees.
• Conduct GEMBA walks and safety/audit activities.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve production problems and bottlenecks.
• Train employees on new processes and maintain training records.
