Challenge Manufacturing in Holland, MI is seeking a Team Leader for the 1st shift (6am-2pm). You will guide production teams to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals, providing first-line support and escalating issues to ensure timely resolutions.

You will collaborate with Group Leaders to uphold standards and performance. The role requires hands-on supervision, training, and mentoring, with duties including line monitoring, FIFO adherence, and compliance with plant rules; ESOP benefits

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well enough to follow work instructions.
• Able to stand for 8-10 hours and perform essential duties.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Ability to learn and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials and equipment.
• Ability to operate a PC and scan gun.

Responsibilities

• First line of support to team members when abnormal conditions exist.
• Escalate issues to involve appropriate resources when abnormalities occur.
• Ensure continuity of operations by filling in for team members as needed.
• Work on continuous improvement projects.
• Oversee personnel loading/unloading trucks, verify counts, inspect packaging.
• Train team members on processes and tasks; certify at progression levels.
• Track inbound/outbound truck schedules and communicate status.
• Lead and assist shipping personnel as needed.
• Enforce FIFO procedures and follow plant rules.
