Job summary

Central Plains Steel is hiring for a full-time 1st shift Shipping & Receiving role at Plant 1 in Wichita, KS. You will load/unload trucks, ensure quality, and maintain warehouse organization to meet Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Delivery goals.

Responsibilities include assembling orders, material handling, quality checks, and documentation. Candidates should have a valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 100 pounds. On-site work with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must have Valid Driver’s License.
• Able to meet Level 4 Heavy Work capacity.
• 0-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Adequate manual dexterity and coordination.
• Able to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Basic measurement and math skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time.
• Lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Certification to operate motorized equipment required.
• Warehousing experience preferred.
• High School diploma/GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pull and assemble orders from shipping documents.
• Coordinate and execute material handling.
• Perform quality control inspections.
• Sort and package parts.
• Tag materials for identification and complete paperwork.
• Operate yard truck, forklift, and overhead crane.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Report irregularities to supervisor.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
