Job summary

Central Plains Steel is seeking a Parts Breakdown professional for 1st shift in Wichita, KS. You will remove cut parts, verify quality, and prepare items for shipping or downstream production.

You will work closely with machine operators and the shipping department to meet safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals. Responsibilities include reviewing work orders, handling materials, performing quality inspections, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions with accuracy.
• Basic math and measurement skills for calculations.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 60 pounds repetitively.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and follow tooling instructions.
• Move materials between production areas and storage.
• Operate forklift, crane, and yard truck safely.
• Perform quality checks and document results.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with safety standards.
