Qualifications

• 0–5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math and measurements and apply them to work.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Review and follow blueprints, work orders, tooling instructions or other specs to understand machining characteristics of metals.
• Determine processing specs such as material form, size, surface condition, tolerances, and sequences.
• Ensure correct material for the job is used and coordinate material handling.
• Position pieces for processing, secure fixtures, and select/monitor speeds and tooling.
• Perform in-process and finished-product quality inspections and document results.
• Move materials using forklift or crane and maintain safety and quality standards.
• Report irregularities and complete work orders with proper documentation.
