Job summary

Central Plains Steel in Wichita, KS is hiring for 1st shift Shipping & Receiving. Mon-Fri, 6:30am–3:00pm at Plant 1, 3900 N. Comotara.

You will load/unload trucks, coordinate with drivers and vendors, and maintain a safe, organized warehouse. Requires valid driver’s license, ability to lift 100 lbs, stand long periods, and safety consciousness.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Basic math, measurements, and conversions.
• Stamina for heavy work and long standing.
• Willingness to obtain certification for equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and assist delivery drivers and vendors.
• Coordinate and execute material handling and order preparation.
• Perform quality checks and documentation.
• Operate yard truck, forklift, and overhead crane.
• Maintain a safe, clean warehouse and follow safety standards.
