Job summary

FXI in Terrell, TX is seeking a Production Supervisor - 1st Shift to lead safety, quality, and productivity on the manufacturing floor. You will coach hourly staff, coordinate schedules, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer demand.

The role requires a high school diploma or higher, SAP experience preferred, and at least two years in supervision. FXI offers comprehensive benefits and a culture focused on safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues.
• Experience with MRP/ERP software (SAP preferred).
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role in manufacturing.
• Familiar with lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong interpersonal and team-oriented skills.
• Proficient with PCs and related applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety policies, SOPs, and PPE requirements.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, QMS, product specifications, and customer requirements.
• Monitor production operations and stop production when necessary to address safety, quality, or process nonconformance issues.
• Plan, schedule, assign, and oversee daily production activities based on demand, staffing, equipment, and priorities.
• Review production schedules, work orders, and specs to determine labor, material, equipment and operational needs.
• Track and analyze KPIs such as productivity, schedule attainment and downtime.
• Manage workforce utilization and staffing levels to meet goals while controlling overtime.
• Lead, coach, train and develop production staff and foster accountability for safety and performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on waste reduction, 5S, Kaizen and standard work.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Quality to minimize downtime and ensure on-time delivery.
