Job summary

FXI is seeking a Production Supervisor for 1st shift at our Terrell, TX facility. You will lead hourly associates, coordinate daily production schedules, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery in a high- pace polyurethane foam environment.

You will drive continuous improvement, mentor staff, and work with cross-functional teams to meet production goals while controlling costs and overtime. This role requires hands-on leadership and a strong commitment to lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. AAS or BS degree preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve production related problems.
• Experience with MRP/ERP software (SAP preferred).
• Minimum 2 yrs. experience in a supervisory capacity in a manufacturing facility.
• Requires experience with, or knowledge of, lean manufacturing processes.
• Requires effective interpersonal skills and behaviors conducive to a team-oriented environment.
• Requires proficiency in the use of PC's and applications related to the position.
• Must have a positive customer service attitude. Must be able to multi-task.
• Must be available to work any shift including scheduled and unscheduled overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership to promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, SOPs, and PPE requirements.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, the Quality Management System (QMS), product specifications, and customer requirements.
• Monitor production operations and stop production when necessary to address safety, quality, or process nonconformance issues.
• Plan, schedule, assign, and oversee daily production activities based on customer demand, staffing levels, equipment availability, and production priorities.
• Review production schedules, work orders, and technical specifications to determine labor, material, equipment, and operational requirements.
• Track and analyze key performance metrics, including productivity, schedule attainment, labor utilization, downtime, scrap, rework, and overall operational efficiency.
• Manage workforce utilization and staffing levels to meet production goals while controlling labor costs and overtime.
• Lead, coach, train, and develop production employees while fostering accountability for safety, quality, attendance, productivity, and performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, process optimization, 5S, Kaizen, standard work, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to minimize downtime, resolve operational issues, and ensure on-time customer delivery.

Site Overview

Our Terrell, TX facility is a non-union manufacturing plant with approximately 70 employees. The site specializes in producing polyurethane foam and other foam products. As a key location within FXI's manufacturing network, the Terrell plant is known for its strong focus on quality, safety, and operational excellence. Team members work in a collaborative, supportive environment where continuous improvement and innovation play a central role.

Position Overview

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading all aspects of departmental safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and employee performance within assigned production and fabrication areas.
