Job summary

Rockwell Automation seeks a Production Supervisor (1st Shift) to lead a ~40-person Final Assembly team at our Mequon, WI plant. You will manage daily production, ensure safety and quality, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The role reports to the Senior Production Supervisor and features a 6:00am–2:00pm schedule with occasional Saturdays. Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and U.S. work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manage about 40 employees across 1st shift in final assembly department.
• Maintain and enforce safe work practices.
• Select and hire employees and provide ongoing performance monitoring.
• Establish and implement employee training programs and schedules.
• Implement company procedures for disciplinary policies.
• Perform resource planning requirements and scheduling of work hours and time off requests.
• Administer and maintain employee time at work records and systems.
• Receive predetermined assignments subject to a moderate level of control and review.
• Communicate daily production requirements and set targets based on capacity.
• Plan and coordinate production order transitions and inventory transactions within the Plant between shifts and between manufacturing departments.
• Communicate production order status, warehouse daily priorities and results at frequent intervals.
• Accountable for safety, quality, customer delivery, and productivity improvement goals.
• Lead continuous improvement projects, i.e. Kaizen events, A3 Projects.
• Understand and maintain complex manufacturing order management systems related to material movement.
