Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Production Manager at the Mequon, WI location to lead production areas, align schedules with product introductions, and manage budgets and capital expenditures. Job Summary

Production Manager at the Mequon, WI manufacturing location. Directs the development and implementation of activities in production areas to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets, makes budgetary recommendations, and controls capital expenditures and labor. Develops schedules and personnel requirements, and selects, develops, and evaluates personnel for efficient operation.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions
  • Drive policy deployment for the area, including KPI charts, action plans, and countermeasures.
  • Coordinate operations and maintenance support for the Value Stream.
  • Coordinate Value Stream efficiency and improvement activities.
  • Use and promote Company Production System (RPS) and Lean Manufacturing concepts to drive continuous improvement through Kaizen.
  • Develop and monitor operational budget for the Value Stream.
  • Lead and monitor projects to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity, and Cost.
  • Lead 5S initiatives to improve department environment and efficiency.
  • Develop Value Stream strategy/metrics and implement related manufacturing strategies.
  • Provide operational leadership, including successful Lean implementation resulting in productivity gains.
  • Meet with Value Stream Leaders regularly to reflect on problems, solutions, and challenges, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Lead the Value Stream in daily operations and continuous improvements, including supply chain production control, establishing manufacturing priorities, and coordinating activities with off‑shift management and order shipments.
  • Emphasize continuous product flow, utilize pull systems where flow is not currently possible, and work to level workload.
  • Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring standardized work/processes, implementing countermeasures, and maintaining safety compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum five years of major professional accomplishments, including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope, and complexity.
  • Minimum five years of manufacturing management experience.
