Job summary

Advanced Machine & Engineering in Rockford, IL is seeking a full-time 1st shift Assembly Lead to supervise the assembly of Workflow Automation System components, ensuring compliance with work instructions, drawings, and quality standards.

You will provide daily direction to assemblers, coordinate work, train new team members, troubleshoot issues, and maintain safety and production documentation, while striving to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in manufacturing/assembly; prior lead or trainer experience preferred.
• Must read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products per work instructions, drawings, and specs.
• Direct multiple sub-assembly stations.
• Lead daily success meetings to monitor production targets.
• Provide direction, training and hands-on support to assemblers.
• Troubleshoot assembly and quality issues; implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work area and complete production docs.
• Coordinate material availability with planning personnel.
• Review completed work for accuracy prior to sign-off.
