Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking candidates for an onsite production role in Mebane, NC. You will perform assembly tasks, operate light hand tools, and support quality testing within defined production processes, ensuring a clean and safe work area.

The position reports to a Production Supervisor and requires safety-focused work practices. Responsibilities include lifting, handling materials, and following PPE protocols, with readiness to participate in respirator fit testing as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge and use of tools - tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.
• Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed.
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs.
• Handle materials that may produce dust, fumes, or vapors requiring respiratory protection.
• Wear and maintain assigned PPE, including respirators and masks.
• Participate in fit testing and medical evaluations as required for respirator use.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Conducting all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including the packing where integrated with production lines.
• Performing work manually or by using light hand tools.
• Carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
• Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area.
