Job summary

ABB in Mebane, NC is seeking an assembler to perform a variety of production tasks on the shop floor. You will read and interpret technical diagrams, assemble components, and use light hand tools and machinery as required.

Regular quality testing is part of the role, and work is conducted on-site in a clean, organized manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience, with safety and ladder-use awareness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year working in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to safely work in a manufacturing setting and operate on-site equipment

Responsibilities

• Conduct assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including packing as integrated with production lines
• Read and interpret technical diagrams for assembly
• Perform work manually or with light hand tools on the shop floor
• Operate machinery and equipment on the shop floor
• Carry out regular quality testing as part of the production process
• Maintain clean work area and follow standard operating procedures
