Job summary

United Rotary Brush Corporation in Olathe, KS is seeking a Production Supervisor for 1st shift to lead daily manufacturing operations with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, enforcing policy, managing production flow, and collaborating across departments to meet customer expectations. The role requires strong leadership, lean manufacturing experience, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience.
• Minimum three years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
• Experience leading teams of 25–40 employees.
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication to managers and teams.
• Knowledge of production methods, lean practices, data tracking and analysis.
• Ability to motivate and lead a production team to meet standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and initiative.
• Forklift training and certification.

Responsibilities

• Own the safety performance of the assigned shift.
• Coach, guide and direct employees to policy, processes and safety procedures.
• Set clear performance expectations and hold employees accountable through coaching, feedback, and recognition.
• Lead production operations on the assigned shift.
• Make day-to-day operational decisions to maintain production flow.
• Prioritize labor and resources to meet changing production demands.
• Daily startup walkthrough of all machinery and ensure proper operation.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, throughput.
• Submit daily reports and attend production hand-off meetings.
