Job summary

UNITED ROTARY BRUSH CORPORATION in Olathe, KS, is seeking a Manufacturing / Product Engineer to drive lean improvements on the shop floor. You will optimize processes, reduce waste, and ensure efficient workflows through hands-on implementation and data analysis.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2–5+ years in manufacturing with lean exposure, plus strong analytical and communication skills. Experience with ERP systems, SolidWorks, and SPC is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or technical degree in related area required.
  • 2 to 5+ years in a manufacturing environment with exposure to lean principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet attendance expectations.
  • Strong communications skills both verbal and written; ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Proficiency with lean tools, problem solving and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lean improvement initiatives on the production floor.
  • Redesign parts and tooling to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities and troubleshoot new processes.
  • Draft drawing templates and maintain product and machine documentation.
  • Conduct capability studies and time analyses to ensure quality and performance.
