Job summary

Urban Farmer is seeking a Floor Lead to support daily operations in a food manufacturing setting. You will train team members, assign workstations, monitor safety and quality, and drive efficiency across production lines.

You will coordinate breaks, respond to production issues, and collaborate with QA, maintenance, and supervisors to keep lines running smoothly. This role requires hands-on leadership and GMP familiarity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical equipment preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience as a production worker in food manufacturing or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical devices, troubleshooting skills, and ability to perform routine maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Must have completed GMPs and company food safety programs training.
• Must have good mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Train team members and assign workstations.
• Ensure safety, quality standards, and OSHA policies are followed.
• Maintain production records and monitor outputs.
• Coordinate breaks and shift assignments.
• Oversee production areas and troubleshoot equipment at operator level.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate with supervisors and other departments.
• Provide training on GMP and food safety policies.
