Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. in Wisconsin's Cudahy plant is seeking a Plant Maintenance Supervisor for 1st shift to lead maintenance teams responsible for equipment across plant, facilities, utilities, and powerhouse. You will drive preventive and predictive maintenance, reduce downtime, and ensure peak production.

Strong leadership and technical skills are required. The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field and 2+ years of experience, plus ability to manage planning, scheduling,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading maintenance teams and training staff.
• Ability to lead troubleshooting for high-level process issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Willing to work long hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventive maintenance, as well as machine repairs.
• Train employees on proper work methods and safety procedures.
• Develop and implement maintenance systems (PM/TPM, SOPs, Safety) and provide day-to-day support.
• Monitor KPI performance and provide status reports to maintenance management.
• Ensure maintenance tasks comply with USDA regulations.
• Provide crisis management and continuity; delegate tasks when needed.
• Drive a positive employee experience through leadership and coaching.
