Job summary

Smithfield Foods in the United States seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance mechanics and electricians in predictive and preventive maintenance, repair activities, and safety compliance across the plant. You will supervise teams, develop maintenance plans, and drive uptime and productivity.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience, strong communication, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and willingness to work long hours/weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 2+ years experience.
• Experience leading maintenance teams or projects.
• Ability to troubleshoot high-level process issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Willing to work long hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Schedule maintenance in collaboration with Production; develop TPM and SOPs.
• Monitor KPIs and report to maintenance management.
• Ensure compliance with USDA regulations and maintain records.
• Manage crisis situations and delegate tasks when needed.
• Develop staff through coaching and performance reviews.
