Job summary

Johnson Controls in York, PA is seeking a Material Coordinator for the 1st shift. You will set up and operate metal fabricating machines to cut, bend, and form parts by reading blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities include selecting tooling, adjusting machine settings, inspecting parts, and documenting deviations while upholding safety rules. Requires a 1-year certificate or 3–6 months related experience.Competitive benefits package provided.

Qualifications

• Requires a basic understanding of blueprints and shop paperwork.
• Ability to read simple instructions and perform basic math for measurements.
• Experience or training in operating metal fabrication equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specs to determine setup and sequence of operation.
• Select, position, and secure tooling and fixtures on the machine.
• Set machine parameters such as ram stroke, speed, and blade angle.
• Inspect finished parts for conformance to specs and document deviations.
• Maintain safety rules and wear PPE; report injuries or unsafe conditions.
