Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Material Coordinator for the York, PA area. The role involves setting up and operating metal fabricating machines such as brakes, shears, and presses to form metal shapes, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, selecting tooling, adjusting machine parameters, measuring output, and documenting deviations. The position requires a technical certificate or equivalent experience and offers a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

One year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months related experience.
Ability to read and interpret instructions, shop orders and safety rules.
Knowledge of basic math and measurement tools used in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints to determine setup, production methods and sequence of operation.
Select, position and secure tooling and fixtures on the machine.
Set machine controls for appropriate pressure, ram stroke and speed.
Inspect and measure parts, document deviations, and take corrective action.
Train new or existing employees as needed.
Maintain safety and PPE requirements and report unsafe conditions.
