Job summary

US Foods in New York is seeking an experienced Meat Cutter to join our refrigerated production team. You will trim and portion meat, read cut tickets, and label portions to customer specs in a fast-paced environment.

This on-site role requires knife skills, familiarity with GMPs, and the ability to work overtime as needed. Training and benefits begin Day 1, with competitive hourly pay and opportunities for growth within the team.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of meat cutting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret customer cut tickets.
• Must work in a fast-paced meat production environment.
• Knowledge of GMP and sanitary practices.

Responsibilities

• Trim and customize portions of meat products using knives, band saws or other equipment.
• Count and stack portions per customer specifications.
• Label portions with supplied product labels.
• Read and understand cut tickets.
• Set up the cutting room as required.
• Maintain sanitation in cutting rooms and surrounding areas.
• Follow GMP to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Work continuously in a refrigerated environment (35°F–45°F).
• Finish times may require overtime.
