Job summary

Cheney Brothers, Greensboro, NC, is seeking a meat cutter to portion, slice and package beef, pork, lamb and seafood according to work orders. You will follow safety, GMP and quality standards to keep production moving.

Start time is 10:00 AM; schedule Sunday through Thursday with Fridays and Saturdays off. Pay is $19 per hour with Day 1 benefits and opportunities to grow within our distribution network. Must have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 4 months of meat-cutting experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
• 4+ Months Meat cutter experience

Responsibilities

• Review work schedule and perform safety checks on equipment; prepare for operations and secure equipment at shift end.
• Check cutting list, obtain stock from coolers, open cases and place trash in proper receptacle.
• Cut various size portions of raw meat/seafood by hand with knives using proper cutting techniques.
• Clean and sanitize knives and tools; maintain USDA GMP and quality standards.
• Cut portions using band saw or slicer; check weights and place portions in proper tubs.
• Assist Packers and Sanitizers as required; perform housekeeping and safety compliance.
