Job summary

New-Indy Containerboard LLC is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to install, troubleshoot, and service production equipment and plant facilities. You will set up machines for optimal performance, diagnose PLC-driven control systems, and perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs as needed.

Expect to work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with emphasis on safety and preventive maintenance to maximize output and equipment life.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with craft apprenticeship.
• 4+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical skills, some PLC and HVAC.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Prior corrugated industry experience preferred.
• Team-oriented and self-directed.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production machines and plant facilities.
• Adjust settings for optimum equipment performance and quality output.
• Troubleshoot programmable controllers and drive/control systems (A/C and D/C).
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs on equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance.
• Maximize equipment utilization to run at capacity and speed.
• Read manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and service.
• Use hand/power tools, meters and material handling equipment; participate in special projects.
