Job summary

Carolina-Container-A-Division-of-New-Indy seeks an experienced maintenance technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production machinery and plant facilities. You will work with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical systems and PLCs, including HVAC, in a busy corrugated environment.

With 4+ years of manufacturing experience, you will perform preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and continuous improvement tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Four plus years of manufacturing experience with strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Team-oriented and self-directed.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and plant facilities.
• Troubleshoot programmable controllers and drives and their control systems.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs.
• Provide emergency and scheduled maintenance on production equipment.
• Maximize equipment utilization and maintain capacity and speed.
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders for maintenance tasks.
• Utilize hand and power tools, meters and material handling equipment.
