Job summary

New-Indy Containerboard LLC is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant mechanical systems. You will support design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability improvements for production equipment, while developing preventive maintenance programs and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires proactive root cause analysis, project oversight, and collaboration with operations teams to improve plant performance across a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, including large outage planning and execution.
• Must be able to support a 24/7 operation, including availability for on-call support.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the plant’s equipment, including design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for mechanical reliability, predictive, and preventive maintenance.
• Conduct routine inspections and audits of mechanical systems and equipment; troubleshoot issues; and develop preventative maintenance programs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements through inspections, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
• Oversee installation, repairs, and upgrades of mechanical systems; manage related projects; and collaborate with maintenance and operations teams.
