Job summary

New-Indy Containerboard LLC in Laurinburg, NC seeks a Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment in line with safety, predictive, and productive maintenance standards. You will perform preventive maintenance, read manuals and work orders, and respond to emergencies during production.

The role requires mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC skills, and a team‑oriented, fast-paced approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship or relevant production maintenance experience.
• Must be 18+ and possess manufacturing experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and PLC/HVAC.
• Able to work a flexible schedule and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and equipment.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and scheduled maintenance.
• Maximize equipment utilization by keeping machinery at capacity and speed.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities.
• Read manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance.
• Use hand and power tools, meters and handling equipment.
• Assisting with special projects as needed.
