Job summary

Carolina Container, a division of New Indy, seeks a Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment in a fast-paced plant.

You will read manuals, perform preventive maintenance, handle electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and support PLC-based control panels to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations. A craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent maintenance experience.
• Four+ years in manufacturing with strong hydraulic/pneumatic/mechanical skills and HVAC.
• PLC experience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule; corrugated industry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and plant facilities.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and drive/control systems to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled service on equipment.
• Utilize hand/power tools, meters, and material handling gear safely.
• Read manuals and work orders for required maintenance and service.
• Handle unscheduled repairs during production and special projects as needed.
