Regal Rexnord is seeking a Machinist I for an onsite role in Radford, VA. The machinist will program and operate CNC lathes and mills, set up fixtures, read blueprints, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure parts meet strict tolerances.

The position requires an associate degree or 5+ years of experience, strong math skills, and independent work capability. Base salary ranges from $42,000 to $53,500 with full benefits.

Formación

• Associates degree in Machine Technology or related field or equivalent experience (5+ years).
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to maintain tight tolerances.

Responsabilidades

• Program and operate CNC lathes and milling machines to perform precision machining operations.
• Set up machines, fixtures, and tooling to ensure accurate part production.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications to determine machining methods.
• Select and recommend appropriate tooling, feeds, and speeds for machining operations.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure tolerances and quality requirements are met.
• Maintain tight tolerances and dimensional accuracy across complex machining operations.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and identify defective materials or abnormal conditions.
• Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure product quality.
• Design or modify fixtures and tooling to support production and special engineering needs.
• Maintain equipment, work area cleanliness, and adherence to all safety procedures.
