Job summary

Regal Rexnord in Radford, VA, is seeking a Machinist I to produce precision components using CNC and manual equipment. You will set up machines, read blueprints, select tooling, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances.

Collaborate with quality and manufacturing engineering to optimize processes, perform first-piece inspections, and maintain a clean, safe work area. This onsite role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

Associates degree in Machine Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
Ability to read blueprints and interpret engineering specifications.
Strong math and dimensional accuracy skills; 5+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

Program and operate CNC lathes and milling machines to perform precision machining operations
Set up machines, fixtures, and tooling to ensure accurate part production
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications to determine machining methods
Select and recommend appropriate tooling, feeds, and speeds for machining operations
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure tolerance and quality requirements are met
Maintain tight tolerances and dimensional accuracy across complex machining operations
Troubleshoot machining issues and identify defective materials or abnormal conditions
Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure product quality
Design or modify fixtures and tooling to support production and special engineering needs
Maintain equipment, work area cleanliness, and adherence to all safety procedures
