Job summary

Regal Rexnord in Radford, Virginia, is seeking a Machinist I to fabricate precision components using CNC and manual machines. You will set up machines, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances in a fully onsite role.

The position requires an associate degree or equivalent experience, strong measuring skills, and the ability to work with Engineering and Quality teams to optimize processes and maintain high output.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Machine Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Strong mathematical skills and geometry proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC lathes and milling machines to perform precision machining operations.
• Set up machines, fixtures, and tooling to ensure accurate part production.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications to determine machining methods.
• Select and recommend appropriate tooling, feeds, and speeds for machining operations.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure tolerance and quality requirements are met.
• Maintain tight tolerances and dimensional accuracy across complex machining operations.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and identify defective materials or abnormal conditions.
• Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure product quality.
• Design or modify fixtures and tooling to support production and special engineering needs.
• Maintain equipment, work area cleanliness, and adherence to all safety procedures.
