Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a machinist to operate CNC machine tools, set up lathes and mills, and produce precise components according to blueprints and drawings. You will work under supervision within a manufacturing cell and contribute to quality and safety.

The role requires ability to read blueprints, intermediate math, and strong attention to detail. Candidates should be capable of tool changes, measuring with micrometers and calipers, and working independently as well as in a team.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Intermediate math skills for measurement and problem resolution.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate overhead cranes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Set up and operate common machine tools including engine lathes, mills and grinders.
• Machine parts using horizontal boring mills, vertical lathes, engine lathes, and drill presses.
• Adjust machine feeds and speeds and change cutting tools as needed.
• Maintain high quality and attention to detail in close tolerance manufacturing.
