Job summary

Chromalloy Carson City is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools to manufacture and repair critical aerospace components. This role requires precision, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

You will read blueprints and specifications, set up tooling, perform inspections with precision measuring tools, and participate in process improvements while maintaining a safe, organized work area.

Qualifications

• Experience machining in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and specifications.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges).
• Capable of setting up tooling and changing feeds/speeds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment.
• Manufacture and repair aerospace components to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring tools and document results.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
