Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Whitsett, NC is seeking an Operations Supervisor I - 1st shift to oversee transportation and customs processes and provide customer service for shipment, receipt and documentation of imported/exported products in accordance with federal and foreign regulations.

You will supervise departmental activities, train staff, monitor shipment documents for accuracy, and ensure compliance with regulations in a fast-paced logistics environment. This role offers growth within CEVA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in international business, logistics, or related field.
• Minimum four years of related experience with at least one year of supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn job-specific software.
• Working knowledge of ITAR, import brokerage, export compliance and hazmat regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
• Supervise all departmental activities; assist in staff retention and training; conduct staff meetings.
• Oversee performance statistics; review shipment documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Compute duties, tariffs, and weight/volume for shipments; communicate with customs as needed.
• Establish and revise policies for customs clearance operations in line with regulations.
• Identify improvement areas in import/export processes via audits and reviews.
• Coordinate with the operations manager and maintain flexible after-hours on-call rotation.
