Job summary

Vestis is seeking a industrious team member for our laundry facility in Durham. You will work as part of a team to handle merchandise safely and efficiently, ensuring accurate sorting, folding, and staging of linens and related items.

Responsibilities include verifying quantities, preventing damaged goods from proceeding, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Weekend shifts and overtime may apply; high school degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to follow training and written instructions.
• Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities.
• Good communication and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Stage cart in lift table, secure safety chain, and raise the table.
• Fold linen, aprons, towels, table napkins, and/or fender/seat covers.
• Identify and segregate merchandise not meeting quality standards (rips, tears, stains).
• Accurately verify merchandise quantity and bundles by type.
• Place bundles in correct storage bins, carts, or on shelves.
• Maneuver full and empty baskets.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe production safety practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
