Job summary

Vestis operates an industrial laundry facility and this role supports a small team in the safe, expeditious handling of merchandise into and out of the laundry. Responsibilities include loading/unloading washers and dryers, verifying batch tickets, and maintaining equipment in safe working order.

Candidates should be able to move heavy slings, follow precise instructions, and sustain attendance in a fast-paced environment with potential weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Checks all machine safety devices before operating equipment and records and signs the appropriate equipment safety form.
• Retrieves sling from storage and loads washer; ensures batch tickets are correct to avoid mixing lots.
• Verifies batch ticket information and records weights in SOFTROL for washers; handles drier batches carefully.
• Unloads washer and dryer, transfers items to carts, places batch tickets on items for tracking.
• Ensures proper moisture levels and temperature, checks slings for wear, and maintains product integrity.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment and follows production best practices.
