Job summary
GlobalFoundries in Essex, VT is seeking a first shift Chemical System Maintenance, Deionized Water, and Operations Principal Technician to lead a 4-shift team and oversee safe, compliant chemical handling. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance on DI water distribution systems and support equipment within a 200mm semiconductor facility.
The ideal candidate has 7–8 years in related fields, strong English communication, and demonstrated supervisory experience.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in engineering or related field required.
- 7–8 years in related or mechanical field.
- Weekend/shift flexibility required.
- Fluent in English (written & verbal).
- Physical capability to lift 30 lbs and wear a respirator.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations by leading teams across 4 shifts in safe, compliant, and efficient chemical handling.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure proper system operation.
- Respond to and troubleshoot system alarms and controls.
- Perform mechanical field work on filters, resin vessels, UV lights, pumps, valves, tanks, tubing, piping, and controls.
- Lead improvement projects to increase safety and continuous operations.
- Provide technical leadership to operate and maintain distribution equipment in Manufacturing areas.
