Job summary

Alianza in Gastonia, NC is seeking a skilled 1st Shift Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, diagnosing equipment malfunctions, and keeping production machinery safe and efficient.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with industrial mechanical systems, hydraulics, and plumbing, and can read blueprints and schematics. You will work Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with opportunities to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Previous hands-on experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems, hydraulics, and plumbing.
Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery and facility equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures, hydraulic system issues, and equipment malfunctions.
Repair or replace defective components including pumps, valves, motors, bearings, fittings, cylinders, and hoses.
Inspect machinery regularly to identify potential problems before failures occur.
Perform equipment adjustments, repairs, and routine servicing.
Assist with installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic systems and plumbing systems to minimize production interruptions.
Read blueprints and maintenance manuals to determine repair steps and required parts.
Update maintenance records and work orders with accurate details.
