Job summary

Carolina Container LLC in Hickory, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 1st Shift to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production machines and plant facilities in a fast‑paced environment.

You will diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems, work with PLCs and HVAC, perform preventive maintenance and respond to unscheduled repairs to maximize equipment uptime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with craft apprenticeship or equivalent production maintenance experience.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• 4+ years of manufacturing experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and PLC skills and HVAC.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and plant facilities.
• Troubleshoot programmable controllers and drive systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Read manuals and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Utilize hand and power tools, meters and material handling equipment.
• Duties may expand as needed.
