Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulics, braking, engines, HVAC, suspension, and drive trains. The role includes on-site and on-road service and opportunities to work with state-of-the-art fleet.

You will diagnose multi-system issues, perform routine preventive maintenance, and receive training in new technologies.

Qualifications

Diagnose multi-system issues and apply technical expertise.
Understand work order labor time standards.
Experience with maintenance on Class 1-5 light/medium and heavy-duty Class 7-8.
ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
3–5 years of technician experience or recent automotive college/technical school graduate.
Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair vehicle components and systems on-site and on the road.
Chassis component repair and maintenance; refuse bodies and hydraulic/electrical systems; air/braking systems.
Light engine repair and maintenance.
Service suspension, drivetrain and steering; HVAC.
Perform line welding and fabrication.
Provide safe road service to return equipment to operation.
Identify malfunction sources using electronic tools.
Complete required training programs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
