Job summary

AMETEK Programmable Power in San Diego, CA seeks a dedicated Assembler to perform routine electronic and mechanical assembly at unit and module levels. You will read blueprints, assemble components, and inspect subassemblies to ensure quality.

The role requires precision, adherence to process, and the ability to work with standard tooling and wiring diagrams. The 1st shift runs Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM with overtime as needed in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of related experience in assembly.
• Ability to read assembly blueprints.
• Ability to read measuring devices (rulers, calipers, etc).
• Effective communication with team members.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components to a final configured product using instructions, drawings and fixtures.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings and parts lists; suggest process improvements.
• Perform rework per standard repair procedures and incorporate ECNs into boards.
• Attach components to circuit boards, solder components and touch up boards.
• Verify product quality at defined intervals and ensure accuracy of work.
• Assist lower-level assemblers as needed and operate assigned machines and tools.
