Job Summary

The Assembler will prepare and perform routine electronic and mechanical assembly operations at the unit and module assembly level using blueprints, work instructions, ECOs, deviations, drawings, diagrams, and written processes. The Assembler will assemble and inspect components, parts, subassemblies, and assemblies. Work is semi‑routine and may require occasional deviation from accepted practice. The position is the 1st shift (Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM) with overtime on weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe all safety regulations including personal protective equipment.
  • Assemble components to a final configured product using process instructions, engineering documentation, specialized tooling, measuring equipment, and hand tools.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, parts lists, operation sheets, and visual aids. Provide recommendations for build‑process improvements.
  • Perform rework from test failures in accordance with standard repair procedures and incorporate ECNs into completed boards.
  • Prep and insert electronic components onto circuit boards, hand solder components, touch up and rework boards.
  • Verify product quality at required intervals and ensure accuracy of all work.
  • Provide training and support to lower‑level assemblers as required.
  • Operate material handling equipment, read engineering documentation, layout, and process worksheets, and set up and operate assigned machines and equipment.
  • Meet established standards for productivity and quality.
  • Follow lead’s instructions on building units.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of related experience; assembler level 1–5 varies by experience and scope.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong assembly blueprint reading skills.
  • Proficient with hand tools (torque wrench, drills, inspection tools).
  • Ability to read measuring devices (rulers, tape measures, scales).
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Legal right to work in the U.S. and authorized to access export‑controlled information and source code.
Desired Qualifications
  • IPC‑610 and J‑STD‑001 certification.
  • Efficient MS Word and Excel user.
