Job summary

AMETEK Programmable Power in San Diego, CA seeks an Assembler to perform routine electronic and mechanical assembly at unit and module levels. You'll follow blueprints, ECOs, and diagrams to assemble and inspect components and subassemblies.

The role is first shift, with overtime opportunities as needed. The position requires 3–5 years of related experience, a high school diploma, and proficiency with hand tools and measurement devices.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good to excellent blueprint reading experience/skills.
• Ability to use hand tools (e.g., torque wrench, drills, inspection tools).
• Ability to read measuring devices (ruler, tape, scales).
• Effective communication with others.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety regulations and wear PPE.
• Assemble components to final product using drawings, wiring lists, and fixtures.
• Read assembly drawings and parts lists; suggest process improvements.
• Perform rework per standard repair procedures; may incorporate ECNs.
• Route components onto circuit boards; hand-solder and rework as needed.
• Verify quality at required intervals and document results.
• Provide training/support to lower-level assemblers as required.
• Operate machines and equipment per process worksheets and manuals.
• Meet productivity and quality standards; follow lead’s instructions.
