Edwards Lifesciences in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Quality Inspector to support our medical device manufacturing. You will perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections to ensure products meet design specifications and patient safety.

The role requires reading and speaking English, a high school diploma, strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to follow SOPs and record traceable information in device history records.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of components and finished medical devices using a variety of tools to ensure conformance with design specs.
• Conduct functional testing of devices using automated and manual test equipment.
• Follow SOPs and record traceable information in device history records and JDE.
• Verify manufacturing documents against component and device drawings.
• May manage inventory to ensure proper storage and movement.
• May train colleagues from other sites on inspection procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to EH&S rules.

Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm

Pay rate: $19.98/hour

How you’ll make an impact:

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of components and/or finished medical device products using a wide variety of tools and equipment such as magnifying lamp, microscope, vision inspection system, etc. to ensure conformance with design specifications
• Perform functional testing of finished medical device products using both automated and manual valve testing equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications
• Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including recording traceable information on device history records and may enter information into JDE.
• Perform verification of manufacturing documents with component and device drawings
• May control inventory to ensure appropriate storage conditions and movement
• May train colleagues from other sites, including inspection of their work output
• Other incidental duties: General work area housekeeping

What you’ll need (required):

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent
• Due to the specific duties of this job, you must be able to read, comprehend, write, and speak English
