Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences in Salt Lake City is seeking a Quality Inspector to support our medical device manufacturing. You will perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on components and finished products, ensuring conformance to design specifications.

The role includes testing with automated and manual equipment, following SOPs, recording traceable data to device history records, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest standards of quality and patient

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Strong attention to detail and steady hands.
• Basic understanding of inspection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of components and finished medical device products using tools and equipment to ensure conformance with design specs.
• Perform functional testing of finished products using automated and manual testing equipment to ensure conformance with design specs.
• Follow and document work instructions and SOPs, recording traceable information on device history records and entering data into JDE as needed.
• Verify manufacturing documents against component and device drawings.
• May control inventory to ensure proper storage and movement of materials.
• May train colleagues from other sites on inspection output.
• General housekeeping and safe work practices in the work area.

Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:15pm - 1:45am

Pay rate: $19.98/hr (you will receive an additional 10% differential for working 2nd shift)

How you'll make an impact:

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of components and/or finished medical device products using a wide variety of tools and equipment such as magnifying lamp, microscope, vision inspection system, etc. to ensure conformance with design specifications
• Perform functional testing of finished medical device products using both automated and manual valve testing equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications
• Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including recording traceable information on device history records and may enter information into JDE.
• Perform verification of manufacturing documents with component and device drawings
• May control inventory to ensure appropriate storage conditions and movement
• May train colleagues from other sites, including inspection of their work output
• Other incidental duties: General work area housekeeping

What you’ll need (required):

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent
• Due to the specific duties of this job, you must be able to read, comprehend, write, and speak English
