Job summary

Edwards in Salt Lake City seeks a QA Inspector to support medical device manufacturing. You will visually inspect components and finished products, run functional tests, and document results to ensure conformance with design specifications.

The role requires a high school diploma and English proficiency, with strong attention to detail and teamwork. Shift: Mon-Thu 5:00am–3:30pm, on-site at our Utah facility.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, comprehend, write, and speak English.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Adhere to quality, EH&S and SOP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of components and finished medical device products using various tools to ensure conformance with design specifications.
• Perform functional testing of finished medical device products using automated and manual valve testing equipment.
• Follow SOPs and record traceable information on device history records; enter data into JDE when required.
• Verify manufacturing documents against component and device drawings.
• May manage inventory to ensure proper storage conditions and movement.
• May train colleagues from other sites in inspection procedures.
• General duties: maintain clean and organized work area.

Pay rate: $19.98/hour

How you'll make an impact:

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of components and/or finished medical device products using a wide variety of tools and equipment such as magnifying lamp, microscope, vision inspection system, etc. to ensure conformance with design specifications
• Perform functional testing of finished medical device products using both automated and manual valve testing equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications
• Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including recording traceable information on device history records and may enter information into JDE.
• Perform verification of manufacturing documents with component and device drawings
• May control inventory to ensure appropriate storage conditions and movement
• May train colleagues from other sites, including inspection of their work output
• Other incidental duties: General work area housekeeping
